Trance/Techno/Progressive artist Robbie Fithon takes a mellow, melodic route with the new release on his 6913 Recordings label. Friendship, features an über-cool, moody vocal from Georgina Hill-Brown, while the production is smooth and understated, and clearly paying tribute to an old school Detroit inspired vibe. A nice acoustic lead line punctuates the choruses and the result is a beautiful and subtle testimony to the Mancunian DJ/Producer's formidable production and songwriting skills. Serious crossover potential and a real treat for anyone who remembers the way House and Techno sounded in the early years.
